This moderate to challenging 5 day cycle tour begins in Chengdu, located in West China Sichuan Province. This tour is intended for those with a fair amount of cycle-touring experience and will include days covering moderate distances and exhilerating mountain climbs. The tour will be vehicle-supported, meaning there will be a driver and a guide, and we will utilize the vehicle to carry luggage, supplies, and, when needed, riders and bicycles.

Some highlights included in this tour include picturesque mountain valleys and passes, and an experience of rural western Chinese culture that you'll be talking about for years to come.

0	Chengdu	0/0	Pick up from the Chengdu airport and transfer to your hotel. Meet in the evening for bicycle fitting and tour orientation.
1	Chengdu to Baoxing	30/19	Bicycle fitting in the morning and transport to Tiantai Mountain to cycle part or all of the way to Baoxing.
2	Baoxing to Wu Dao Guai	80/50	Begin accent of Jiajin Mountain by bicycle to a small village called Wu Dao Guai where we'll stay at a rustic B&B and have a dinner.
3	Wu Dao Guai to Rilong	60/38	Cycle over Jiajin Mountain pass at 4,114m (13,170 ft) and enjoy a beautiful decent before another nice climb to Rilong Town at the base of Four Sister Mountains.
4	Rilong to Wolong	120/75	Ascend Balangshan for a view of the Four Sister Mountains nearby. After climbing the short side of Balang Mountain, engloy a glorious 80+km decent to Wolong.
5	Wolong to Chengdu	70/44	Finish the decent from Wolong to Dujiangyan, visit the famous irrigation system there and take transport back to Chengdu.

Group size: 1 - 8

Accommodations: Will be basic Chinese hotels generally of the 1-3 star variety. On occasion it may be necessary to use a 0-star hotel. The prices are for double occupancy rooms, and will vary depending on the number of people who participate.

Single room supplement: US$260

This tour is limited to no more than eight people. This will permit more flexibility in the program and allow more spontaneity for taking photos or exploring villages along the way.

Prices include the following:

1. All hotel accommodations (double occupancy) for nine (9) nights.
2. All meals eaten as group (private meals, snacks and alcoholic beverages are not included).
3. All group transportation costs (buses, boats, and taxis) including to/from the Beijing airport.
4. All group entrance fees.
5. Bicycle rental including helmet.
6. Bilingual cycling tour guide/mechanic.

This will be a vehicle-supported ride. This means that a vehicle will carry luggage between destinations (and cyclists when necessary).

If you decide to do something on your own, you will be responsible for those costs.

Cost: Prices depend on the total number of people going on the tour and the time of year. Below are the price per person (pp) and quoted in US dollars (US$) for non-holiday periods*:

An announcement of the cost of the tour will be made to the group 60-days prior to the start based on the number of registered members.

A deposit of $500 per person is required. This is fully refundable up to 60 days prior to the start of the tour. Submission of a deposit will guarantee your place on the tour. Balance is due at least 60 days prior to the beginning of the tour and payable by credit card, wire transfer, or personal check.
