This moderate to challenging 5 day cycle tour begins in Guiyang, in Guizhou Province and ends in Kunming, in Yunnan Province. This tour is intended for those with a fair amount of cycle-touring experience and will include days covering moderate distances and exhilerating mountain climbs. The tour will be vehicle-supported, meaning there will be a driver and a guide, and we will utilize the vehicle to carry luggage, supplies, and, when needed, riders and bicycles.

Some highlights included in this tour include China's largest waterfall, Wen Temple, Hongshan Reservoir, and an experience of rural Chinese culture that you'll be talking about for years to come.

0	Guiyang	0/0	Meet at the airport or trainstation in Guiyang and transfer to the hotel. Meet in the evening for bicycle fitting and tour orientation.
1	Guiyang to Anshun	90/56	Head west from Guiyang to Anshun where there are limestone karst hills and visit Wen Temple and Hongshan Reservior.
2	Anshun to Qinglong	83/52	The tour passes the Dragon Palace (Longgong) Caves and will visit Huangguoshu (Yellow Fruit Tree) Falls, the largest waterfall in China.
3	Qinglong to Panxian	110/69	The route passes through numerous rural towns populated by ethnic minorities, predonimately varying sects of the Miao minority before crossing into Yunnan Province.
4	Panxian to Fuyuan	66/41	Cross into Yunnan via the Shengjing Pass traveling by more rural towns, limestone karst hiulls and beautiful scenery.
5	Fuyuan to Kunming	74/36	As we make the final push into Kunming we pass through various ethnic minority villages and have opportunities to observe traditional small-town life.

Accommodations: Will be basic Chinese hotels generally of the 1-3 star variety. On occasion it may be necessary to use a 0-star hotel. The prices are for double occupancy rooms, and will vary depending on the number of people who participate.

Single room supplement: Not Available

This tour is limited to no more than eight people. This will permit more flexibility in the program and allow more spontaneity for taking photos or exploring villages along the way.

Prices include the following:

1. All hotel accommodations (double occupancy) for five (5) nights.
2. All meals eaten as group (private meals, snacks and alcoholic beverages are not included).
3. All group transportation costs (buses, boats, and taxis) including to/from the Beijing airport.
4. All group entrance fees.
5. Bicycle rental including helmet.
6. Bilingual cycling tour guide/mechanic.

This will be a vehicle-supported ride. This means that a vehicle will carry luggage between destinations (and cyclists when necessary).

If you decide to do something on your own, you will be responsible for those costs.

Cost: Prices depend on the total number of people going on the tour and the time of year. Below are the price per person (pp) and quoted in US dollars (US$) for non-holiday periods*:

An announcement of the cost of the tour will be made to the group 60-days prior to the start based on the number of registered members.

A deposit of $500 per person is required. This is fully refundable up to 60 days prior to the start of the tour. Submission of a deposit will guarantee your place on the tour. Balance is due at least 60 days prior to the beginning of the tour and payable by credit card, wire transfer, or personal check.
